A quick post to praise God for new fresh joys:
1. My dear friend Megan is now engaged, to the worthy and always surprising Raj! Congratulations to both of you!
2. My coworker Yesenia's daughter, Angela Alba, was baptized this weekend along with about 30 other children at a beautiful service at Our Lady of Guadalupe church here in Denver. What hope is present in children! And what promise of abundant life God pours on us in baptism!

In the October 2007 issue of Reader's Digest, there is an article entitled 'how the new science of thank you can change your life.' The author, Deborah Norville, stated that people who are consciously grateful have more 'joy, more energy. And they were more optimitic.' Bethany, you characterize her years of study on people who give thanks and look for the good in life. Mom
